A Typical Day

Many individuals wonder what a day in inpatient treatment is like. Each day at the Retreat is designed to promote physical health, emotional growth, and meaningful recovery. Here are some samples of the types of activities that may be included during a week day in the Retreat:

  • Patient community meeting to discuss scheduling and other issues of concern
  • Addiction seminar, a recovery-focused educational lecture and discussion series
  • Process group designed to help patients identify and work through "core" psychological issues intertwined with their addiction
  • Other activities may include individual therapy, couples therapy, exercise at the Fitness Center, and/or outdoor walk, journaling, completion of homework assignments, closure group and self-help meetings on or off the facility.
